India women's team made a place in the final of ICC Women's World Cup 2017 after beating Australia at Derby on Thursday. Indian women cricket team has reached the final for the second time, last was in 2005 when cup was lost to Australia. Now the team looks in supreme control and oozing confidence following their massive 36 run victory over six-time and defending champions Australia in the semi-final of the ICC women’s world cup 2017 at derby. Though England hold a numerical advantage of having beaten India six out the 10 times the teams have met in the World Cup, one can't discount India's recent run in the tournament.

The Mithali Raj-led Indian side scripted an emphatic win over Australia in the second semi-final at Derby to register a berth in the final of the tournament where they will meet England in the title clash. India has performed well throughout the tournament in the run up to the finals.
